- The season concludes on a romantic and hopeful note for Noah and Joanne.

- Creator Erin Foster has expressed interest in coming back for season 3.

Opposites really do attract, at least in Netflix's *Nobody Wants This*.

When fans last saw agnostic podcast host Joanne (Kristen Bell) and offbeat rabbi Noah (Adam Brody), their connection had everyone and their mother completely captivated. Season 2 delves deeper into their relationship as Noah and Joanne combine their lives and get to know each other even better. But being committed doesn't mean their differences have just disappeared — and those challenges are causing some real tension for the couple.

The comedy series quickly topped the streamer's charts when season 2 premiered on Oct. 23. If you've already binged it, you might be wondering if (and when) new episodes might drop.* *Here's everything we know about *Nobody Wants This *season 3 so far.

Netflix hasn't officially renewed *Nobody Wants This* for a third season yet, but the team behind the hit series is already hard at work. After season 2 was released, Bell told Parade that writing for season 3 had already begun.

"The writer's room is working right now," she said. "You never know if you're gonna be able to shoot because that’s way above our pay grade, and they decide what shows are gonna be shot. But the writer's room is writing it right now. That we know."

Back in September 2024, creator Erin Foster spoke with * *and revealed that she's eager to keep the show going for many more years. "I definitely wrote it with a second or third season in mind, because I got plans for Joanne," she shared.

The season 2 finale of *Nobody Wants This *wraps up on a sweet note, thanks to Joanne and Noah's reconciliation.

There had been much tension around whether Joanne would actually convert to Judaism. She and Noah try to work things out despite her decision not to convert, but during her sister Morgan's (Justine Lupe) engagement party, Noah breaks up with Joanne because he doesn't want her to change for him.

Joanne confides in Noah's sister-in-law, Esther (Jackie Tohn), reflecting on the Jewish traditions she has grown to love while dating Noah. Esther reassures Joanne that those qualities and rituals have always been a part of her, with or without Noah.

In the season's final moments, Noah and Joanne find their way back to each other. Noah calls Joanne his "soulmate," saying that he loves her regardless of whether or not she converts to Judaism. Joanne replies that he's "in luck," implying she plans to convert, and the two kiss as the screen cuts to black.

Reflecting on Noah and Joanne's season 2 ending, Brody told EW that it represents "a stronger commitment."

"They came together in the end of last season, like, 'I'm committing to you,'" he explained. "And now they've gotten a much longer, more in-depth look at the difficulties and the compromises necessary of that and are still saying, all that aside, 'I know what I'm getting into and I'm still doing it.' So I think it's a stronger commitment."

Meanwhile, other characters are navigating their own complicated love lives. Morgan gets engaged to her former therapist, Dr. Andy (Arian Moayed), but breaks up with him at their engagement party. Her feelings for him aren't strong enough, and she realizes she rushed into it after seeing Joanne and Noah's relationship.

As for Noah's brother, Sasha (Timothy Simons), and Esther, things get pretty complicated. Throughout season 2, Esther starts having doubts, and at Morgan's engagement party, she tells Sasha she wants to separate. Sasha is supportive, telling Esther he'll wait for her as she figures out what she wants.

Since *Nobody Wants This *has not been formally renewed, there is no official synopsis for season 3 yet. However, the season 2 finale sets up plenty of potential storylines for the show to explore.

With Joanne and Noah back together, season 3 would likely expand on the next phase of their relationship. Joanne also appears to accept the idea of converting to Judaism, so the third season could follow her journey through that process.

Many of the supporting players, specifically Morgan, Sasha, and Esther, are also starting new chapters after ending their respective relationships. Season 3 will likely focus on the aftermath of those big changes.

Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but fans can probably expect Brody and Bell to reprise their roles as Noah and Joanne. They'd likely be joined by other major characters played by Lupe, Tohn, and Simons.

Fans might also see Stephanie Faracy return as Joanne and Morgan's mother, Lynn, and Michael Hitchcock as their father, Henry. Other familiar faces could include Tovah Feldshuh as Noah and Sasha's mother, Bina; Paul Ben-Victor as their father, Ilan; Shiloh Bearman as their daughter, Miriam; Stephen Tobolowsky as Rabbi Cohen; and Sherry Cola and D'Arcy Carden as Joanne's friends, Ashley and Ryann.
