Alannah's Love Island USA debut included her putting on a performance for men in Casa Amor as part of the Hearts on Fire Challenge, a.k.a. the heart rate challenge, which took place in episode 17.

Alannah quickly connected with Zach. In the following episode, she told him that she wanted to speak with him more but was hesitant because he had already been intimate with Kayda Bosse, whom he had already been coupled with back in the villa for weeks.

Early in their conversation, Zack was surprised when Alannah told him that she previously kissed his brother — Love Island USA alum Charlie Georgiou — at a party before coming to Fiji. But after bonding over their love of cats and Marvel movies, the pair ultimately agreed to share a bed together while in Casa Amor and had a kiss.

Prior to Alannah's sudden exit from the reality show, a video resurfaced online that showed her appearing to use a racial slur while singing along to Roddy Ricch's 2019 song "The Box," which contains the N-word in its lyrics. PEOPLE has learned the video was not accessible during the time of the vetting process and were made public after her appearance on the show.

As of June 26, Alannah has not yet spoken out about her exit. However, prior to her removal from the show, Alannah's dad defended her to TMZ, emphasizing that she is not racist and calling her an "educated sweetheart."

This is not the first time this season that a Love Island USA season 8 contestant has been removed from the villa after being accused of using a racial slur. Just three days before the premiere, OG Islander Vasana Montgomery was pulled from the cast after social media posts surfaced of her allegedly using the N-word.

On June 3, Vasana issued an apology on her Instagram Stories, writing, "I take full responsibility for what I said and understand why it has hurt and upset people."
