A small plane collided with multiple vehicles after making a crash landing on Feb. 9 in Georgia, local police announced, and minor injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Video of the emergency landing shows the plane land in the middle of a roadway and twist at high speed into traffic in Gainesville, Georgia. Photos shared by police show the single-engine plane stopped between a Pizza Hut and Golden Corral on a roadway in the city.
The front of the plane appeared dented in the video, and a propeller blade was twisted. An SUV in one of the photos from the scene had its front bumper knocked off.
Local authorities said the plane operator made the emergency landing after experiencing mechanical issues, CBS News reported. The pilot and a passenger on board the plane were not injured in the crash. The drivers of two vehicles were taken to a hospital as a precaution, police told CBS.
USA TODAY has reached out to the Gainesville police and fire departments for more information.
The crash happened near the intersection of Browns Bridge Road and Pearl Nix Parkway in Gainesville, about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, police said. The city of nearly 50,000 is the seat of Hall County.
