- Victoria Beckham has broken her silence about her family's estrangement from her son Brooklyn Beckham in a new interview.

- "We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be," the Spice Girls singer said, but didn't mention her son by name.

- Brooklyn publicly broke ties with his family in January, accusing his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of trying to ruin his relationship with his wife.

Victoria Beckham is breaking her silence on her family's estrangement from her and David Beckham's eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.

"We love our children so much," Victoria said of her family when asked about her relationship with Brooklyn in a *WSJ Magazine* interview published Thursday.

Although the Spice Girls singer refrained from using her son's name, she added that she and her husband have "always tried to be the best parents that we can be."

As the offspring of a pop star legend and former soccer superstar, the couple's four children — Brooklyn, 27; Romeo, 23; Cruz, 2; and Harper, 14 — have spent their entire lives in the public spotlight.

While Victoria acknowledged the difficulties of that level of exposure, she added, "All we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that's all I really want to say about it."

When asked whether she feels remorse about bringing her family, including her parents, into the public eye, the fashion house founder responded, "I wouldn't say it comes with guilt. I'd say that there was a lot of adjusting from my mum and dad when all of a sudden there were paparazzi outside their house."

"We've really taken our families on this ride with us," she added.

Along the way, the family has hit many bumps in the road, including when Brooklyn posted a scathing message announcing his estrangement from his family and accused his parents of trying to destroy his marriage to actress Nicola Peltz.

Rumors of a growing rift between Brooklyn and his parents have been circulating since 2022, when many speculated that his marriage to Peltz was the source of the tension. Brooklyn confirmed as much in a bombshell series of Instagram Stories he shared in January.

"My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped," Brooklyn claimed, declaring that he has no desire to "reconcile" with his family.

In the messages, Brooklyn also alleged that Victoria had promised to make a wedding gown for Peltz but canceled at the last minute, forcing Peltz to "urgently find a new dress"; that his parents tried to "bribe" him into "signing away the rights" to his name before his and Peltz's wedding; and that Victoria "hijacked" his wedding dance with Nicola and "danced inappropriately on me."

Brooklyn claimed that his family "values public promotion and endorsements [coming] above all else." Their alleged desire to control him and "Brand Beckham," he said, has led his parents to "place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade."

He added, "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed."

Victoria and David have not directly responded to Brooklyn's accusations or questions about their estrangement, but they have shared their feelings indirectly.

During an appearance on CNBC's *Squawk Box*, David addressed his kids' approach to social media and their mental health.

"I've tried to do the same with my children, to educate them," he said shortly after Brooklyn blasted his parents online. "They make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes. That's how they learn. That's what I try to teach my kids, but, you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well."

More recently, the couple wished their estranged son a happy birthday, dedicating a few Instagram Stories to him for the special occasion in March.
