Taylor Swift arrives at 2026 VMAs ahead of 'Patient Zero' video premiere

Music superstar Taylor Swift has arrived at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards for a big night that will include the world premiere of her new "Patient Zero" music video.

The music superstar stepped out Sunday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles ahead of the awards show, where she is also set to receive the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors.

Swift's appearance comes just days after she announced that the music video for her new single, "Patient Zero," would premiere in full during the VMAs.

The video, directed by Swift, stars Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell and features cinematography by Academy Award winner Emmanuel Lubezki.

Swift released "Patient Zero" on Friday as one of four new songs featured on "The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore."

In addition to debuting the video, Swift will be honored Sunday with the first-ever MTV VMA Artist Director Honors.

The award recognizes "groundbreaking music artists whose work behind the camera has expanded the possibilities of music video and advanced the art of visual storytelling," according to MTV.

Swift is nominated for nine awards at this year's ceremony, including video of the year and artist of the year.
