Known for his bold stage looks, Hyunjin's personal style emphasizes simplicity and authenticity with denim essentials

When it comes to fashion, Stray Kids' Hyunjin doesn't overcomplicate things.

As a member of the K-pop group Stray Kids, the singer, dancer and self-taught painter and drawer has built a reputation for commanding a stadium stage or stepping onto a red carpet. But beneath the bold looks and fashion-forward image is a simple philosophy: Wear what feels authentic.

Now, Hyunjin, 26, is bringing that same perspective to his new role as Guess' Global Brand Ambassador. On June 4, Hyunjin celebrated the partnership with a special appearance at the Guess Jeans flagship store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The event marked the debut of the immersive "Hyunjin Experience" pop-up, a weekend-long activation inspired by his first worldwide campaign with the brand.

For Hyunjin, the collaboration feels like an organic fit.

"I like the style and creativity," Hyunjin says. "Anything of Guess just feels natural for me."

Recently unveiled as the face of Guess' "Modern Heritage" campaign, Hyunjin brings his own perspective to a collection rooted in denim essentials. The campaign spotlights classic pieces, from denim shirts and straight-leg jeans to striped tees and cargo-inspired silhouettes.

Though fans often see him in dramatic stage looks and high-fashion editorials, Hyunjin's personal style is surprisingly simple. When asked about his favorite denim wash, he doesn't hesitate.

"Maybe medium wash," he says. "It's simple and easy to wear."

He arrived at the event wearing the Guess Jeans Regular Long Sleeve Denim Shirt, a White Rib Tank Top and Relaxed Heritage Jeans, embodying the easy confidence that defines the campaign itself.

That balance between simplicity and self-expression has become a defining element of Hyunjin's personal style. Though he enjoys experimenting with different aesthetics, he gravitates toward clothing that feels effortless and can be worn repeatedly without losing its appeal.

Fans got a closer look at that side of him through the "Hyunjin Experience," which transformed the Melrose flagship into an interactive space featuring campaign imagery, immersive installations, including a custom photo strip booth and a claw machine featuring collectible denim-inspired prizes, and moments designed to bring his artistic identity to life.

Still, for all the excitement surrounding the collaboration, Hyunjin's focus remains firmly on something deeper than style.

As K-pop continues to cement its place as a global cultural force, Hyunjin has played a key role in Stray Kids' rise from industry newcomers to one of the genre's most influential acts. Through their self-produced music, high-energy performances and devoted international fanbase, the group has helped carry the Korean music wave to audiences around the world. Asked how he hopes to be remembered years from now, Hyunjin doesn't overthink it.

"I hope people remember me as someone who always tried his best," he says.

Following the Guess Jeans event, Hyunjin headed to New York City to reunite with his Stray Kids bandmates. The group performed at the Governors Ball Music Festival at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on June 6.
