Ryan Gosling is sharing what his littlest critics thought of his latest film.
The star, whose new movie Project Hail Mary comes out on March 20, shared with Access Hollywood that his daughters Esmeralda Amada, 11, and Amada Lee, 9, had many thoughts about the movie as he was filming it. In fact, Gosling, who shares his daughters with longtime partner Eva Mendes, says they even had notes.
"My kids have seen multiple cuts," Gosling told the outlet. "They give me multiple notes. They're basically the only critics I care about, and they are very critical and very honest."

The actor also shared that his daughters actually inspired him to take part in the sci-fi film.
"I made this for them essentially," said Gosling. "As a family, I'd like a movie like this that I'd like to see. I just feel really honored that I got to make one."
This past June, Mendes spoke with New Beauty and was asked by the outlet how she was spending her summer with her two daughters and Gosling. Mendes shared that while she didn't quite know yet what they were going to get up to, she's hoping to just be by their side.

"I have no idea. We just go with the flow," said the mom of two. "I'm not blaming my kids, but summer is their time to be kids, and I'm really taking it in."
"Our little one turned 9 last week, and our oldest one is 10. I know these moments are fleeting," Mendes continued. "I just want to be with them. Whatever I'm doing, as long as I'm with them and Ryan, of course, that's where I'm happiest."

When Gosling starred in 2023's Barbie, he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and shared that his two daughters were on set for a lot of the filming of Barbie.
"It was their interest in Barbie and their disinterest in Ken that sort of started all of this," Gosling shared on the show.
"It's really been a team effort. And they were on the film and they came to set when I filmed the number," the dad of two said, referring to the movie's Oscar-nominated song "I'm Just Ken."
"A lot of this has no context for them, you know? It's just like a lot of fake tan stains around the house," he joked, also noting that his daughters came to see his performance at the 2024 Oscars. "So I wanted them to come to the dress rehearsal just to give it some kind of context for what had been going on."
"They knew all the choreography better than I do, the songs," he continued, imitating his daughters' dancing. "They're backstage showing me."
