“Choosin’ Texas” singer-songwriter Ella Langley shut down an influencer who desperately shouted at her in public asking for a date.
A digital creator known as Tiki posted a video of himself screaming to get the musician’s attention.
Langley quickly rebuked his request and appeared annoyed as she shook her head at the move.
Record-shattering “Choosin’ Texas” singer-songwriter Ella Langley is definitely not choosin’ influencer Tiki for a date any time soon.
The sports-centric digital creator shared a now-viral video in which he shouted at the 27-year-old country star in public — which she sharply declined.
“Ella! How many likes to take you on a date?” Tiki shouts in the video (below) while he appears to stand on a public street, while Langley is shown inside a parking structure huddled near a group of other people.
The singer looks up and replies, “Not enough in the world,” before shaking her head and looking away.
Tiki then appears back on camera, telling his followers that “you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.”
In a follow-up TikTok post, Tiki reacted to Langley — who’s reportedly dating fellow country star Tucker Wetmore — replying to the original video in the comments section.
“This was definitely meant as dark humor, and it obviously didn’t land due to my face,” Langley wrote. “I will say, it takes more than likes a on [sic] tik tok. I’m still a human.”
EW has reached out to Langley’s representatives for comment.

Under Tiki’s video post on Instagram, fans were divided on the interaction. Many replied in defense of Langley, with one user writing, “No women [sic] likes to be shouted at and given some sort of price in exchange for her time. it’s just disrespectful. she’s worth more than likes on instagram 😭 i see nothing wrong here.” Another commented: “Bruh he yelled from outside a parking garage to ask her for a like count. Her whole team looked annoyed. I’d be annoyed too.”
Langley, a breakout genre star, recently bounded past an American Billboard Hot 100 chart record with her breakout single “Choosin’ Texas,” which on Monday became the longest-running No. 1 hit in the song ranking’s history.
The performer’s feat saw the song spend 23 weeks in the top spot, surpassing prior record-holding performer Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has logged 22 weeks at No. 1 to date (its total should increase later this year, as the 1994 song has returned to No. 1 each December since 2019).

In addition to “Choosin’ Texas,” Langley notched two other top-five hits on the Hot 100 in 2026 alone, including her Dandelion album’s second single, “Be Her,” and the Morgan Wallen duet “I Can’t Love You Anymore” that peaked at No. 4 over the summer.

Langley additionally has a Koe Wetzel collaboration titled “Jaded” currently charting on the Hot 100, with the song sitting at No. 25 on this week’s overall Billboard chart.
