RAYE asked Taylor Swift for some advice, pop star to pop star.

While at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 26, the “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” singer told Billboard she was excited to see the “Opalite” singer at the awards ceremony.

“I’ve had the pleasure of having a couple of beautiful conversations with her, and I really, really like her,” RAYE, 28, said. “She’s really, really lovely, so I hope I bump into her.”

The British singer-songwriter, born Rachel Keen, went on to reveal the two pieces of advice she had previously asked from Swift, 36.

“I was actually asking her, ‘How do you do your show for three hours?’ She has a three-hour show, which is insane! I was like, ‘How do you do it?’” she said. “And she was just giving me all the tea and tips.”

RAYE also asked Swift the secret to keeping her staple red lip last an entire concert.

“I also asked about her red lipstick because you know, it never moves,” she noted. “The problem is when I sing, mine goes all over my face. So I was like, ‘How do you do it?’ She’s given me some tips.”

Later in the night, RAYE took the Dolby Theatre stage to perform her hit song “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND?” pairing her red satin dress with a red lip of her own. The crowd, including Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce, danced along to RAYE’s powerhouse vocals. The pop megastar was seen jokingly sticking her left hand, jeweled with her engagement ring, in Kelce’s face as she sang along.

The “Escapsim” singer also presented the iHeartRadio Music Award for Best Pop Album to Swift for her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. In her acceptance speech, “The Fate of Ophelia” singer noted that she is a “massive fan” of RAYE, who opened for The Eras Tour in London in 2024.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards came on the heels of the release of RAYE’s highly anticipated sophomore album THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. The 17-track pop album, released on Friday, March 27, featured collaborations with Hans Zimmer, Al Green and her sisters Amma and Absolutely.

Ahead of the album’s release, RAYE spoke to ELLE for her February 2026 cover story and opened up about the making of it, revealing she wrote the record mostly sober.

“A lot of My 21st Century Blues, I was up in the clouds, rolling a blunt. I like that I’ve come down to earth to write these lyrics. I prefer myself like this,” she said. “I’ve found discipline and abstinence in my life, and it’s a beautiful thing.”

“Music is medicine. I’ve always said that,” RAYE explained. “And I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug or bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”
