Queen Camilla had a glam night at Windsor Castle with an unexpected tiara moment.
The Queen, 78, joined King Charles and Prince William at a reception for members of the Diplomatic Corps at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Although the event takes place annually, the date was not publicly announced in advance this year.
Queen Camilla donned a white gown with the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, which is familiar to royal fans as the headpiece that Princess Eugenie wore for her walk down the aisle in October 2018. King Charles' niece, the daughter of the former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, wore the accessory when she wed Jack Brooksbank at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
For her big day, Eugenie borrowed the tiara from her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The tiara was made by Boucheron for Dame Margaret Helen Greville in 1919 in the fashionable “kokoshnik” style popularized in the Russian Imperial Court.

The reception celebrates the presence in London of one of the largest Diplomatic Corps in the world and allows the royals to meet representatives of countries accredited to the Court of St. James.
This year's event marks the first time since 2001 that the glitzy reception has been held at Windsor Castle. The royal residence has hosted many formal events such as state visits in recent months as Buckingham Palace in London undergoes renovations.

Last year at the Diplomatic Corps reception, Queen Camilla made her debut in the rarely-worn Aquamarine Ribbon Tiara. The royal accessory, sported by Queen Elizabeth during a 1970 royal tour of Canada, features five emerald-cut aquamarine gems connected by a ribbon-like setting of diamonds.

Despite attending in previous years, Kate Middleton did not join the royals on Tuesday evening after stepping out solo earlier in the day at the Future Workforce Summit in London, where she delivered her first royal speech in years.
In 2024, the Princess of Wales also did not attend the reception, as she spent most of the year out of the public eye amid her cancer diagnosis and treatment. She announced in January that she was in remission and resumed a fuller schedule of royal duties.
