Princess Beatrice's husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was allegedly helping Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor renovate the Royal Lodge.
Andrew was recently evicted from the property by King Charles.
King Charles wants to "protect" his nieces.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was recently a) stripped of his "prince" title, and b) evicted from the Royal Lodge. Though, he technically hasn't moved yet which has been a whole drama for Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Yep, Andrew is still rattling around his mega-mansion, a giant home he's been living in rent-freeāwhich is apparently in desperate need of renovations. And according to the Daily Mail, Princess Beatrice's husband, property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was planning to step in and help.
The outlet reports that Andrew was in the process of planning a Royal Lodge "makeover" using Edo's design advice. In fact, Beatrice's husband "was seen visiting the royal residence at Great Windsor Park in Berkshire several times last November."
Obviously, this plan is no longer in the cards since Andrew is expected to be exiled in Sandringham on King Charles' dime, where he'll presumably have to put up with whatever random house on the estate he's given. Meanwhile, Edo and Beatrice have been keeping an extremely low profileāthough it's said that King Charles is incredibly fond of both his nieces, wants to "protect" them, and "wouldn't have wanted to sign off on anything that would impact them."
Back in late October, Rob Shuter's #ShuterScoop reported that Beatrice took Andrew's title being stripped poorly, with a close friend saying, "Beatrice sobbed. Sheās terrified of losing access, influence⦠everything she was born into."
Staff also anonymously confirmed there have been "late-night family crisis meetings, frantic calls to advisers, and conflicting guidance from aides who donāt know how far William will go."
