In sharp contrast to most reports that described Prince Harry‘s visit to the UK as a fruitful reunion with King Charles, a royal insider has claimed that the Duke of Sussex had an ulterior motive for the meeting. The source explained in a recent interview that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle only met with the British monarch to satisfy a personal agenda, all the while extending a warning to the King.

Prince Harry’s efforts to reconcile with King Charles are reportedly driven by one goal

During his recent appearance on The Royalist podcast, royal biographer Robert Jobson noted that fatherly love has “blinded” King Charles, who is unable to see his son’s supposed selfish interest behind their reunion.

“The emotion is there to see his grandchildren,” Jobson argued, as per the Daily Express.

The biographer suggested that Prince Harry and his partner met with King Charles only to boost their popularity and financial position. “I think at this moment, I think that the king has got to wise up,” Jobson remarked. “Now, because he needs money, and because he needs brand and because he needs exposure, he’s sucking up to his father again.”

He further added, “His father has to realise he’s not just Pa, he’s not just grandpa, he is the King. And he is there as a guardian and also a steward to the crown for his other son, Prince William, who is the heir to the throne. His slow creep of allowing Harry back into the fold is not what the public in this country wants. They feel Harry has trashed the monarchy…cashed in on the monarchy.”

Notably, Prince Harry and his family reunited with King Charles and Queen Camilla last month in a closed-door meeting at Highgrove House. While security concerns initially restricted Meghan Markle and her kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, from accompanying Harry, they ultimately joined the Duke of Sussex later in the week.
