Midway through Friday's live broadcast, the 83-year-old introduced a talking point about "people who have sex before heading to work," which she said a new study found led to "higher productivity, motivation, and focus than their coworkers who, poor things, didn't get any!"

This, naturally, led to the panelists breaking down their own experiences with morning sex — with Sara Haines adding that she prefers to get frisky with husband Max later in the day, after comparing horny men to canines.

"What if your husband is not an early riser?" Behar asked, to which conservative panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin later responded, "Men wake up ready. It's scientific. That's the only thing they'll wake up for."

Haines then observed, "It's like a dog, those commercials where they go, 'Squirrel! Squirrel! Squirrel!'" and noting that she thinks "men probably thrive having sex in the morning because it gets the squirrel off their mind. Like, get it done!"

Ana Navarro questioned why Haines thought that those surveyed were all men, with Haines pushing back as she said, "It makes sense for men to me, biologically speaking. I'm more of an afternoon girl. I'm awake, I'm into my personality for the day, the kids aren't home."**

Griffin, who recently revealed her pregnancy on the air alongside husband Justin Griffin, jumped in to say she currently feels like "a butterball turkey" and "has no sex drive" in general.

Still, the 36-year-old continued, "the only time I'm capable of having sex is in the morning, before I have food or water in my stomach and can't do anything!"

The audience laughed throughout the segment, before Behar threw the show to a commercial break ahead of an interview with actress Alicia Silverstone.

Behar's choice of topic came amid her first appearance at the table in a week, as the comedian (who typically has Mondays off) hasn't co-hosted the talk show since last Friday.

Upon taking her seat as a fill-in for moderator Whoopi Goldberg (who usually takes Fridays off), Behar confirmed that she dropped her iPad on her foot and broke her toe, which led to her extended absence from the program.
