On Day 72 of the search for Nancy Guthrie, authorities shared an update about increased police patrols in the 84-year-old's Tucson, Ariz. neighborhood.
News 4 Tucson reported on Monday that the Pima County Sheriff's Department attended a recent homeowners' association meeting for Guthrie's Catalina Foothills area, where they learned some neighbors feel harassed by YouTubers.
PCSD confirmed that they have also received similar complaints from Guthrie's daughter Annie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni about their nearby neighborhood. The department has upped patrols in both areas due to those concerns.
"The sheriff recently told residents in the Guthrie neighborhood during a meeting that there have been increased patrols in the area in response to complaints about streamers and citizen journalists possibly trespassing," the department confirmed to USA TODAY in a statement Wednesday.

The investigation into Guthrie's disappearance remains ongoing after she was reported missing on Feb. 1. At the time, a public information officer from the Pima County Sheriff's Department told *** *that "investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night. Taken against her will includes possible kidnapping or abduction."

According to News 4 Tucson, Pima Country Sheriff Chris Nanos said his team, along with the FBI, is working through a large amount of DNA evidence and are still waiting on key lab results in the case. Nanos stated advances in science could soon help break apart mixed DNA samples making it possible to identify suspects.

Nancy's daughter, *Today* anchor Savannah Guthrie, and her family are still urging residents to report any video footage or information about the dates of Jan. 11, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 to help push forward the investigation.
"Someone needs to do the right thing. We are in agony," Guthrie told friend and *Today* fill-in host Hoda Kotb during a sit-down interview in March.
"It's unbearable," Guthrie added of not knowing where her mother is. "And to think of what she went through. I wake up every night in the middle of the night, every night, and in the darkness, I imagine her terror. And it is unthinkable, but those thoughts demand to be thought. And I will not hide my face. She needs to come home now."
