Pamela Anderson shared whether she'll return to Baywatch for the upcoming reboot.

The original lifeguard drama is being rebooted on Fox and premiering in July 2027. The new iteration features a cast of actors and influencers, including Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell, Jessica Belkin, Brooks Nader, Noah Beck, and Livvy Dunne. Four original cast members have confirmed they will be returning to reprise their roles, including Erika Eleniak, David Chokachi, Michael Bergin, and Kelly Packard.

The original show ran for 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001. Pamela played CJ Parker from 1992 to 1997 and reprised her role in the 2017 Baywatch film adaptation in a cameo. In February 2025, the actress answered a question from an Observer reader (per The Guardian) stating that she still has her "young Baywatch body."

Deadline recently interviewed The Last Showgirl star in an article published on July 24, and asked her if she would be interested in returning to the Baywatch reboot. She responded that she has "no plans" to.

“No one's reached out to me. I don't know much about it. I know that they were talking to my sons [Brandon Lee and Dylan Lee] at some point about producing, but I don't think they had a meeting of the minds." Pamela began. "I'm not sure what happened there, but I wish them well."

"It was a great job, and I loved going to work every day on the beach. I would have been there anyway."

Pamela added, with a laugh at the end. "At the time, it taught me a lot, and it gave me worldwide exposure. Everything I've done has led me to here, which is a blessing. But I have no plans of going back to Baywatch."

The outlet further inquired if she was curious what became of her character, CJ. Pamela didn't directly answer the question but seemed to imply that if her sons were involved in the show, she would have appeared.

"If my kids were involved, I probably would have listened to them. I think I've just got to keep on seeing what else is out there," Pamela stated. She went on to say that there's a lot of "really great TV" currently airing, but that she has already done Baywatch and wants to spend her time portraying different characters.

Pamela shared that she has options, some of which she is considering, such as returning to the theater. The 59-year-old made her professional theater and Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago.

"I want to make really bold choices. I want to surprise people. I want to surprise myself. And so I’m trying to do things I haven’t done in the past," Pamela further elaborated.

Pamela is currently starring in the satirical dark comedy Rosebush Pruning, which premiered in select theaters in the United States on July 24.

The film featured an ensemble cast including Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Elle Fanning, Jamie Bell, Elena Anaya, and Lukas Gage. Rosebush Pruning is directed by Karim Aïnouzhits and written by Efthimis Filippou.
