Mark Consuelos shocks Kelly Ripa and “Live” audience after asking viewer crazy question about her kids: 'What?!'

Mark Consuelos left his wife and a live audience "horrified" after asking a woman to swear on her children.

The Live With Kelly and Mark cohost let his competitive side show during a game of "Stump Mark."

By the end, Kelly Ripa was yelling, "What kind of a monster are you?"

There is nothing Mark Consuelos won't do for a win.

Unfortunately, his wife Kelly Ripa had to learn that in real-time — along with a live studio audience — when the host put forth a shocking question for the sake of winning a silly little game.

On Wednesday's edition of Live With Kelly and Mark, the couple played another round of "Stump Mark," the fan-favorite segment that challenges Consuelos to determine which story is false and which is true after a contestant shares two "facts" about their life.

The latest player was Lisa Best of Chattanooga, Tenn., who shared two believable-sounding statements: that she participated in Georgia's Dolly Parton Day Festival and that she performed at the Grand Ole Opry as part of a clogging team in seventh grade.

Consuelos then had 60 seconds to interrogate her about the claims, and after hearing her explanations, he was, well, stumped. He even got to learn which statement the audience was leaning toward as true.

"I don't know, I was thinking the opposite," he said after seeing that 79 percent of viewers sided with the Dolly Day claim. "This is tough."

Consuelos was especially hesitant to answer given his recent winning streak. "I'm having a record May," he pointed out. In the interest of winning, he decided to make a wild request.

"I'm going to do something that may ruffle some feathers, but I'm going to do it,” he announced.

Consuelos then asked Best if she has children, to which Ripa appeared taken aback.

When Best confirmed, he asked: "Do you swear on your kids that you participated in the Dolly Day Festival?"

The reactions were immediate: Ripa gasped while the audience erupted in shocked laughter. As for Best, she sounded astonished by the request.

“Mark! WHAT?!” Best exclaimed.

Ripa was equally shocked. "What! Do not— no!," she exclaimed.

Consuelos doubled down: "No, no. I'm doing it!"

But Ripa wasn't having it. "You are not! You are not doing it," she declared. Turning to the camera, she added, "Lisa, you do not have to answer that question."

Best thanked her and declined to swear on her children. Then, Ripa spent a little more time ripping into her husband.

"What kind of a monster are you?" she asked.

Consuelos sheepishly admitted, "I want to win."

Ripa then gestured to the crowd, ranting, "They are horrified! People are gagged! They are shocked! They are outraged!"

Consuelos tried to argue that "a couple of people" sided with him, but after a glance toward the audience, he changed his tune.

"That young lady just gave me the side-eye," he laughed.

In the end, the strategy earned him nothing. Consuelos guessed that the Dolly Day story was a lie but a victorious Best swiftly informed him that he was wrong.

While Consuelos was disappointed, Ripa delighted in justice being served.

"AND THAT'S WHAT YOU GET, MARK," she declared.

Defeated, Consuelos replied, "I guess the old adage, ‘God will get you back!'”
