Man with world's smallest penis warned 'there isn't a one-size-fits-all treatment'

A man who claims to have the world's smallest penis is set to undergo a life-changing surgical procedure.
Michael Phillips has confirmed he will undergo a penis enhancing procedure, having raised money for the operation via a GoFundMe page. On the page, Michael explained he was raising money to undergo the procedure after facing a number of difficulties due to his 0.38 inch "micropenis."
Michael said his condition "has made everyday tasks," such as using the restroom, "extremely difficult." To help, he will get an injection of semi-permanent dermal filler which will increase the girth of his penis by about 10% to 30%. He initially hoped to raise $6,000 for the procedure, but has managed to raise $13,712 at the time of writing.

Ahead of Michael's hospital stay, aesthetics doctor Dr Ducu has spoken to The Mirror US about what he can expect. The expert explained the non-surgical treatment involves hyaluronic acid being "injected beneath the skin to add volume and increase girth."

He continued, "The treatment itself is relatively quick. We use local anaesthetic to make the procedure comfortable, then carefully place the filler in the appropriate areas to create a more even increase in volume. The amount used depends on the individual and what they are hoping to achieve, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all treatment."

As for the price of Michael's treatment, Dr Ducu said it's "within the range you can encounter," especially when considering "the amount of filler required and the experience of the practitioner."
He warned others looking into this type of treatment, "I would always encourage someone to look beyond the price. This is a very sensitive area anatomically, so the experience of the practitioner and the quality of the product are much more important considerations than finding the cheapest treatment."
Dr Ducu suggested the filler treatment will "increase girth, rather than dramatically increase length." He said results are visible immediately, but warned, "There can be some swelling initially and the final appearance becomes clearer as that settles."

The expert also pointed out the treatment isn't permanent as "hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body." He continued, "How long it lasts varies between individuals and depends on factors including the product and amount used."
Dr Ducu said there can be some risks involved with the the filler treatment and warned patients can experience "swelling, bruising, tenderness or temporary unevenness." He continued, "There is also a risk of infection or problems with the distribution of the filler, which is why having the procedure performed by an experienced medical practitioner is so important."
