Lindsie Chrisley’s Ex-Boyfriend David Landsman Indicted on Aggravated Assault, False Imprisonment Charges

David Landsman, the ex-boyfriend of Lindsie Chrisley, was indicted on charges of aggravated assault and false imprisonment

Landsman’s indictment comes four months after he was arrested following an April 2026 incident in which he is accused of strangling Chrisley, per the indictment

David Landsman, the ex-boyfriend of Lindsie Chrisley, has been indicted on multiple counts of aggravated assault and false imprisonment in connection with an April 2026 incident in which he is accused of strangling Chrisley.

A Cherokee County grand jury returned a bill of indictment on two counts of aggravated assault, one count of false imprisonment, and battery for Landsman on August 10, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE. Landsman is accused of “applying pressure to the throat and neck” of Chrisley in the April 10 incident, along with “forcibly throwing her and slamming her to the ground,” causing a laceration on her head.

The indictment alleges that Chrisley sustained “substantial physical harm” in the alleged assault, including lacerations and bruising, as well as bleeding from her head.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, a rep for Chrisley said that she “did not contact law enforcement regarding this matter and is focused on herself and her family during this incredibly difficult and deeply personal time.”

“Out of respect for the ongoing legal process, she will not be commenting further on the circumstances at this time,” the rep said. “We respectfully ask that her privacy be honored and that she and her family be given the space and compassion to navigate this privately.”

Landsman was arrested on charges of misdemeanor battery and felony aggravated assault/strangulation in April and booked into the Cherokee County Jail, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by PEOPLE at the time.

The affidavit alleged that Landsman put his right hand around a person’s neck, “applied pressure” and told the person they were “not going anywhere,” per the affidavit. He was charged with aggravated assault for “assaulting with an object, device, or instrument which, when used offensively against a person, is likely to or actually does result in strangulation.”

Landsman also allegedly pushed the person out of a Woodstock house, “causing [the person] to fall back and hit [their] head on the concrete.” The alleged victim had blood coming from their head “due to a laceration caused by the fall,” according to the affidavit.

Chrisley was arrested the following month, on May 23, on suspicion of driving under the influence, attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving and speeding.

Chrisley told TMZ that she “got pulled over speeding past a car on a two-lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was.” She said at the time that she planned to “fight the charge.”

The Chrisley Knows Best alum was linked to Landsman last year, following an Instagram post featuring snaps of the then-couple at a Savannah Bananas game.

In July 2025, she changed her last name on social media to match her boyfriend’s, which she has since removed. “We are not married. [We] have built a safe and loving relationship that allows for stability in my life and in Jackson’s life,” she clarified on her podcast, The Southern Tea.

“For a long time, I battled with carrying my maiden last name,” she said. “Choosing to change my name to Landsman truly was about reclaiming my peace and stepping into my future that is defined by love.”
