‘Kimmel’ Guest Host Anthony Anderson Dissects Trump’s ‘Weird’ New Hair

Anthony Anderson had questions about Donald Trump‘s speech at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas last Wednesday (August 5), but they had less to do with what the president said and more to do with what was on his head.
The Black-ish actor, who is guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, addressed the situation during his opening monologue on Monday’s (August 10) show. Anderson played a clip from the speech, where Trump rambled about how he calls Democrats “Dumocrats.”
“That clip caused some controversy,” Anderson said. “Not because of what was coming out of Trump’s mouth, but what was on top of his head. There was something weird going on with his hair this weekend.”
The Law & Order alum was referring to how Trump’s hair appeared much fuller than it usually does. This was something social media users picked up on too, with many commenting and making memes about it since the president debuted the new do last Wednesday.
“I mean, to be honest, I’ve seen better weaves on Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Anderson quipped, suggesting that Trump was wearing a wig.
He went on to share a statement from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who, when asked about Trump’s hair, said, “Lighting is everything.”

“And she’s right,” Anderson stated. “For instance, when you shine a light on the Epstein files, her boss’ name magically disappears.”

He continued, “But I don’t think this was the lighting, because I looked it up, and this is real. Trump’s new hairdo looks exactly like the $15 Trump wig you can buy on Amazon: ‘Donald Trump wig for adults and kids, one size fits most.'”
Anderson showed an image of the Amazon page, featuring a golden wig that looked suspiciously similar to the president’s hair during his Red Rock Casino speech.
“I have to say this, though,” he added. “Kids, if you show up to my door in that wig on Halloween, you ain’t getting s**t.”
Anderson is one of several guest hosts filling in for Kimmel during his summer hiatus. Previous hosts have included Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz, and Colman Domingo. Former View co-host Rosie O’Donnell is set to guest-host next week.
