Hot off hosting Saturday Night Live in New York City, Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie appeared on stage at Sunday's Actor Awards ceremony in Los Angeles as a presenter. He was joined by Kathryn Hahn, but SNL alum Bowen Yang was intended to be his cohort for the bit.
Hahn, of Agatha All Along and The Studio, clarified on stage that it was supposed to be Storrie and Yang together to present the prize for Female Actor in a Drama Series. However, Yang was stuck in Antarctica and couldn't make it. The producers even displayed a snowy, bundled-up image of the Fire Island and The Wedding Banquet star to prove it.
"Before we present this award, we have a confession that we'd like to make," Hahn told the crowd. "First of all, I wasn't even supposed to be presenting this award. Right now I am Bowen Yang, because he is casually stuck in Antarctica. Yeah, no, that's for real."

"Do you all remember when he played an actual iceberg on SNL?" Storrie said, referring to Yang's iconic bit on "Weekend Update" playing the iceberg that got hit by the Titanic.
"I mean, not really," Hahn joked.
"Yeah, me either," Storrie quipped.
A representative for Yang confirms to Entertainment Weekly that "there were travel issues coming from Antarctica."
During his January "Exit Interview" episode of the Las Culturistas podcast with cohost and longtime friend Matt Rogers, Yang spoke about a planned family trip that included Antarctica on the itinerary. "We're gonna see the penguins, we're gonna get our sea legs," he explained.
Sunday's Actor Awards, livestreamed on Netflix, marked Storrie's second award show presenting appearance, following the Golden Globes in January. There, he popped up next to Heated Rivalry costar Hudson Williams for the Best Supporting TV Actress category.

Storrie was still riding high from SNL, where he stole the spotlight with a dynamic opening monologue that featured members of the men's and women's U.S. Olympic hockey teams. Other highlights included sketches like his injured stripper character, inspired by his past improv clown school days. Williams made a surprise appearance during an ice rink sketch and helped Storrie introduce musical guests Mumford and Sons.

"We can find drama anywhere," Storrie said on the Actor Awards stage with Hahn.
"I love drama… and romance!" Hahn exclaimed. "Like your show. But mostly drama."
"And sex!" Storrie noted in a wink-wink to his Heated Rivalry fans.
"A lot of sex," Hahn agreed.
