According to sources, Prince Harry’s peace-bid comments did not sit well with Princess of Wales Kate Middleton.

“But she’s still bitterly disappointed and frustrated that he’s going about things so publicly. It’s the total opposite of how the royals conduct themselves, and Harry must have known it would enrage the family, ” a report quoted a source.
“Prince William has no doubt in his mind that this was yet another cheap shot at him, Kate and the royal family in general. He wishes Harry would shut up, especially if he really does harbor a desire to patch things up with the family further down the line,” the insider added.

The Duke of Sussex said in his first-ever interview since his U.K. return, “Some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out.” The interview was conducted in New York before his return to the U.K. to reunite with his family.
Later, a Sussex spokesperson clarified that Harry’s comment was not intended as a jab at Prince William or Kate Middleton. “It was absolutely not intended as a swipe at his brother or any other member of his family,” the spokesperson said, clarifying.

In the report, sources also claimed, “For William, it feels as though Harry is going out of his way to cause trouble and embarrass the family, while continuing to point fingers at everyone but himself.”
Report claims both ‘Prince William and Kate are exasperated’
According to the source cited by the report, Harry’s remarks have sparked a strong reaction within the royal family. “Both William and Kate are exasperated, but Kate a little more measured and less reactive.”
The source suggested that the Princess of Wales doesn’t trust Prince Harry or Meghan. “The trust simply isn’t there, and Kate would be incredibly wary of anything she said being repeated or twisted,” said the source weighing in on the situation.

“So, the last thing she wants is to give Harry and Meghan something that could potentially end up in the public domain. She doesn’t feel she can trust either of them with a private conversation,” the source added.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has stood by his stance on reconciliation. “With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile – that’s the key point,” he said in an interview.

The letter, which was originally shared by the Royal Household’s senior-most official,Lord Chamberlain, stated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “are no longer working members of the Royal Family.”
“To help avoid doubt or confusion, the King has directed that (this) information be shared,” an excerpt from the letter further read.
