Harry Jowsey is addressing why he leaked his DMs with Jessi Draper.
At the inaugural Snappy Awards on March 31, the Too Hot To Handle alum, 28, pulls back the curtain on his conversations with the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star — revealing that he actually had her permission to share their Instagram DMs before posting them.
During a March 25 episode of Call Her Daddy, Draper claimed that her estranged husband Jordan Ngatikaura — who had filed for divorce from her days earlier — had “hacked” her Instagram while they were separated, sent himself audio messages Draper and Jowsey had exchanged over DM and then created a fake phone number to text him and say, “Dude, I think you should know about this. Your wife's cheating on you.”
"So he accused me of cheating on him with Harry Jowsey, said it was someone else and then I found out it was him," she claimed, though she did not provide evidence.
During the podcast episode, Draper said that she and Jowsey had in fact sent each other audio messages wishing each other well on their shared birthday, but maintained that they were “innocent.”
On March 26, the day after the podcast episode was released, Jowsey took to TikTok to share his and Draper’s exchange.
“Ooh, B-day twins, what are you doing freaky girl,” Jowsey apparently sent Draper, seen in a screen recording he posted. “I’m dying, that’s so funny, but I think you’re a lot younger than me, so I’m jealous,” replied Draper. The pair then each detailed their low-key plans to celebrate the day.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Jowsey says that he had actually reached out to Draper before his March 26 post to ask if she wanted him to leak the conversation.
“She literally said, ‘Please,’ ” says the reality TV star. “I was like, ‘OK, cool.’ Because I don't want to post it. But you see everyone being excited about it and want to see it.”
Jowsey continues that, when he went back into his DM conversation, he thought it was “really not that bad.”
“So then, as soon as she cleared it, I was like, ‘OK, cool. Then I'll just do it,’ " he says.

In addition to the claims that Ngatikaura hacked into her Instagram, Draper alleged on Call Her Daddy that she was subjected to “emotional abuse” during their marriage, that Ngatikaura was frequently critical of her parenting, time management and how she cleaned the house — specifically claiming he wanted her to "start doing Pilates every single day” and that he wanted them to embrace more "traditional gender roles."
Ngatikaura has not commented to PEOPLE about Draper’s latest emotional abuse claims. In November — responding to previous claims she had made then that he was emotionally abusive during their relationship — he told PEOPLE that he took “full accountability for the pain I caused Jessi during our marriage.”
The day after he filed for divorce, Ngatikaura also filed for a restraining order against Draper, which she opposed the same day.

After it was reported that Draper and Chase McWhorter — the ex-husband of Mormon Wives cast member Miranda Hope — had recently been spotted kissing at a party, Hope addressed the rumors in a March 26 post to her Instagram Stories, including a note Draper sent apologizing.

"I completely understand you being upset with me but wanted to send you a little something to let you know I'm thinking about you and I am so, so sorry. Jessi," the letter read, which was signed “Jessi” and was accompanied by flowers.
Hope also shared a video on Instagram later that day with the overlaid text “GRWM while I process my friend group being a waiting room for my ex-husband🫶” and the caption “it’s not even a betrayal at this point, it’s a tradition 🥰🥰”
In the past month, the cast of Mormon Wives has been embroiled in controversy.
In mid-March, sources confirmed to PEOPLE that filming for the fifth season of the Hulu reality series had halted filming after several cast members refused to work with Taylor Frankie Paul amid a pair of new domestic violence investigations involving her and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
In March, ABC also cancelled Paul’s already-filmed season of The Bachelorette after a 2023 video surfaced of an altercation between Paul and Mortensen, where she throws metal chairs at him while a child can be heard crying in the background.
