The actor's mother, Renee Trice, told TMZ that her son died early Wednesday following a heart attack at his home in Maryland. "He was a devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met," Tyree wrote of the actor, whom she said left behind four children, named Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox.

"All funds raised will go toward funeral expenses, supporting his children, and helping us navigate this difficult time as we grieve and adjust," Tyree wrote on the page.

Myers later played Marlon Jackson as a child on the ABC miniseries *The Jacksons: An American Dream*, which aired across two nights in November 1992 and also starred Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams, Holly Robinson Peete, and Billy Dee Williams.

His only other acting credit, according to IMDb, was a guest spot on the short-lived WB series* Young Americans* in 2000, on which he appeared in the drama's third episode, titled "Kiss and Tell."**** Myers later co-founded the Fellaship Mens Group, a nonprofit focused on men's mental health.
