The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins star Precious Way tells PEOPLE about starring in the new NBC sitcom alongside Daniel Radcliffe
Way says she "fell in love with Daniel" quickly on set, and they developed a bond that surprised her
"I told Daniel some of my tea, because I thought, 'Oh, he doesn't care. He's not interested in my business and the silly things that I do.' Oh, I was wrong. He was so entertained. He ate it up," Way says of Radcliffe
There was definitely some fangirling happening on the set of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins thanks to Daniel Radcliffe.
The new NBC comedy series reunites Tracy Morgan and the minds behind 30 Rock, as Morgan plays a disgraced football player, Reggie Dinkins, looking to rehabilitate his public image by making a documentary about his life, helmed by a director with his own rocky past (Radcliffe).
Precious Way plays Reggie's new girlfriend, Brina, in the series, and she's not afraid to admit that walking into the table read and seeing Radcliffe made her a little bit nervous.
"I'm not going to lie. The other ones, they probably try to front, but I definitely had my Harry Potter moment," Way tells PEOPLE. "I called my manager, I said, 'Y'all didn't tell me I was going to be on a show with Harry Potter!' And then I remember the first thing when I walked into the table read, I was nervous."
She quickly "fell in love with Daniel," she says, and praises Morgan, 57, for being so welcoming, too. "I don't think about the Harry Potter thing as much anymore because he's so great, just as a person and his genius that he is."

The other turn of events for Way was how invested Radcliffe became in her personal life. "I told Daniel some of my tea, because I thought, 'Oh, he doesn't care. He's not interested in my business and the silly things that I do.' Oh, I was wrong. He was so entertained. He ate it up."
Radcliffe was so invested that he would circle back to check in with Way about certain gossip items she'd shared with him.
"I said, 'That's not how this was supposed to go. I was supposed to tell you my tea, get it off my chest, and then I thought you wouldn't care. I thought you were going to be posh and like, 'Oh, it's nothing to me.' And he comes back to me, and he's like, 'You remember that thing you said? I researched it.' "

"It backfired on me," she quips. "But also, now, I live for telling him my tea. I did not know that's the way it was going to go, but he ate it up."
Radcliffe's interest also extended to her romantic life, she says, as he would investigate the love interests she mentioned. "He's pulling up the pictures. He's like, 'I don't know. You could do a little better.' What?!"
"Oh my goodness. I love him, though. I didn't know it was going to go that way, but I love it," Way says.
