Comedian Anthony Anderson thinks he knows the real reason why Karoline Leavitt is stepping down from the White House.
Donald Trump announced the 28-year-old will be leaving her role as White House press secretary in a post shared on Truth Social on Wednesday, August 12. Leavitt will leave her job at the end of August, though the president insisted she will "now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party."
Anderson discussed Leavitt's departure as he hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live! later that night. It's currently not clear who will take over as White House press secretary, though several names have been thrown into the mix.
• Whitney Houston's horrifying autopsy – burned skin, sewn-on wig and scars everywhere
• Karoline Leavitt unwittingly humiliates Donald Trump as critics ask about his 'diaper'
Kicking off his hosting duties, Anderson said, "We got some staffing news from the White House today. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt is stepping down at the end of the month." The audience burst into loud cheers and applause at the announcement.
The 55-year-old comedian continued, "She said she wants to spend more time lying to her family. No, Leavitt has a toddler and a baby and a husband who is 32 years older than her, so between that and working for Trump, it was just too many diapers to change."

Anderson was referring to online conspiracy theories that have surrounded President Trump. Critics have often joked he wears adult diapers, with Leavitt often suggested to be the one who changes them.

Anderson continued by making fun of the MAGA makeover trend. He said, "We don't know who the new press secretary will be, or which beauty pageant she was the runner-up in, but if you're interested in the job, send your resume, headshot and cup size to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, double D, C."
Elsewhere in the program, he mocked President Trump after it was claimed the 80-year-old used White House staff and reporters as "decoys" so he could escape a security threat. Reports suggest that when Trump left Turkey after the NATO summit last month, he was hidden inside an airport catering cart before being transferred to a classified military aircraft.

The secret move came following intelligence warnings about a possible assassination plot by Iran, a senior U.S. official said. Journalists hoping to interview Trump on the original plane were seen boarding the aircraft, despite the alleged threat.
Anderson said, "I mentioned last night that Donald Trump escaped a threat from Iranian attackers by hiding in an airport catering cart, also known as operation pig in a blanket."
The audience laughed and cheered before the comedian played a clip of Trump addressing the incident. The president told reporters, "I have a lot of threats, I have a lot of threats that you don't know about.
"Any consequential president has a lot of threats. Non-consequential presidents don't get threats. And I think that I'm maybe the most consequential president."
Trump was then asked if he was worried about a shoulder-fired missile. He replied, "Umm, I don't worry about anything to be honest. Whatever it is, you know my attitude, you want it, whatever."
Anderson said, "Those were his wedding vows too, 'Whatever.' And this is interesting, apparently Trump took some of his advisers with him on the safe plane, and left others on the plane that was maybe gonna get hit by the Iranians. Now, I'm gonna show you two Trump staffers. See if you can guess which one the president brought with him."
A picture of Stephen Miller than flashed onscreen next to a picture of Natalie Harp. Anderson turned to Jimmy Kimmel icon Guillermo Rodríguez for his thoughts. Rodríguez joked, "The hot one." Anderson replied, "Bingo!"
