Blue Ivy Carter made a rare public appearance alongside her mother at a Cécred event in Los Angeles last night.

Blue matched Beyoncé and her grandmother Tina Knowles in a white look.

BeyoncĂ© recently spoke about how her daughters helped with the development of her hair care line’s new styling products.

After Blue Ivy Carter played a special role in developing Beyoncé’s new CĂ©cred styling products, the 14-year-old joined her mother and grandmother, Tina Knowles, at a brand event last night in Los Angeles. The three women all matched in white for the celebration, with Blue standing out in a strapless minidress with an oversize bow in the back.

Elizabeth Denton, a content creator at the event, shared footage of them onstage together:

BeyoncĂ© recently gave a rare interview to Women’s Wear Daily, where she detailed how both Blue and her younger sister, Rumi, were involved with the products’ creation. (The styling line includes flexible hairspray, volumizing mousse, strong hold gel, and more.)

“A lot of these products were designed from a desire to solve my own issues with my hair while on tour,” BeyoncĂ© began. “I don’t use relaxers, so I’m very big on protecting the hair from heat damage when I style. Tour weather is unpredictable. Pouring rain, crazy humidity, some shows in 100-degree weather. I’m drenched in sweat and those styles must make it through a three-hour show. I wasn’t finding stylers that could perform at the necessary level without affecting my hair health.”

“People assume my fans onstage are blowing just for the drama and hairography, but the heat under those lights gets real,” she continued. “I need products strong enough to keep my style while keeping it weightless enough to take flight. It’s taken years with lots of trial and error to find the best formulas. We have put each one of these to the test and I use it on my daughters before everything: blow dry, silk press, braid-out. We tested the mousse on my big Texas blowout all the way back in 2024 for the Super Bowl.”

ELLE editors tested the line, which is now available to shop on Ulta.com.

Blue’s appearance last night marks her first public event since the Super Bowl, which she attended with her father, Jay-Z, in February.

The rapper and entrepreneur recently praised his daughter’s talent, telling GQ, “Blue is a crazy pianist, but she won’t let us get her a teacher. She doesn’t want it to be a job. But she has perfect pitch. If she hears a song, she’ll be like ‘Play it again,’ and then she’ll teach herself. That’s just talent, she doesn’t work at that. She worked at this [to be a backup dancer on Beyoncé’s tour], and it makes me proud that she fought for something that she really wanted to do. I don’t think we’re going to be able to get her off that stage now.”
