You know what they say: Go big, or risk getting burned!

Catherine, the Princess of Wales, wasn't taking any chances with her skin health when she attended the men's final at Wimbledon last week. She brought an extra wide–brimmed sun hat to shade her face while she sat in the stands with her daughter, and it was the perfect finishing touch on her polished yet summery outfit.

It's not the first time we've seen the 44-year-old royal in a protective hat, either. She regularly breaks out her XL sun hat for tennis matches and outdoor events, and it's inspired me to invest in a similar cap for my beach trip later in the summer!

The Princess isn't the only fan of extra-wide hats — we've also seen the style on J.Lo, Pamela Anderson, and Meryl Streep.

If you want to copy Kate's chic summer look, the good news is there are plenty of straw hats that won't break the bank. We've found similar styles starting at just $15, and shoppers say they strike the perfect balance of stylish and functional. A must-have for summer!
