During Blanco's Feb. 26 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he revealed that Gomez lost her handwritten wedding vows a few days before the ceremony
Luckily, the producer was able to find them in time
Selena Gomez almost had to rewrite her wedding vows.
The Rare Beauty founder, 33, married Benny Blanco, 37, on Sept. 27, 2025, in Santa Barbara, California. Days before the star-studded ceremony, Gomez was in tears because she misplaced her handwritten vows, Blanco revealed during his Thursday, Feb. 26 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he was promoting his and Lil Dicky's new podcast, Friends Keep Secrets.
"She was crying because she couldn’t find [them]," Blanco recalled to host Jimmy Kimmel of Gomez's vows, which were "lost" for four or five days.

Luckily, the mega-producer came to the rescue.
"I found them, right before the wedding!" he said. "I didn’t look. I closed my eyes and handed them to her. I swear! I swear I didn’t look."
Blanco joked that the mishap worked out in his favor.
"But how good is it? It made me look so good," he said. "It was like the best thing I could have done. I’m about to marry her and then I find the thing?"

Gomez and Blanco said "I do" in an ultra-private ceremony. Among the celebrity guests invited were Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building costars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Paul Rudd, Ashley Park and Cara Delevingne. Others celebrities spotted at the celebration were Édgar Ramírez, Zoe Saldaña, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Paris Hilton, SZA, Camila Cabello, Eric André, Finneas, Nina Dobrev, Jennifer Stone, David DeLuise, Sofia Carson, Tanya Rad, Maria Canals-Barrera, Maiara Walsh, and Garrett Clayton.

Besides the vows, Blanco and Gomez had another wedding hiccup.
In January, Short revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he almost ruined the couple's nuptials by cutting into their wedding cake.
“I just assumed there was a wedding cake for each section,” Short said. "So after a few hours, they haven’t cut their wedding cake yet, Steve [Martin] said he was going to leave. Maybe I’d had a cocktail, I don’t know. So I said, ‘Oh Steve you can’t leave’ — I had a fork in my hand. ‘You can’t leave yet without a piece of wedding cake.’ And I cut the wedding cake, one side, cut it the other and then all the people in our group scream, 'Marty!’ It was the wedding cake."

Short's attempt to fix his large slice mark with his fork failed, but luckily the chef was able to correct the wedding cake's appearance.
"They did surgery but it ended up being like a Hollywood wedding cake and that it was beautiful but now it had a little work done," Short joked.
