In a GRWM posted to TikTok on Monday, Aug. 24, the beauty influencer and trichologist, who went viral for her haircare routine, explained how she finally met her person after seeing everyone in her town settle down.

ā€œI met my fiancĆ© on Hinge,ā€ she said of Ryan at the start of her selfie video while holding up her hand to show off her brand new diamond ring.

According to the social media star, she and her soon-to-be husband had been engaged for three days.

ā€œBecause if you did not know this about me, I’m 32 years old, and I’m from the midwest, so everybody I know, for the most part, settled down years ago,ā€ Yung said. ā€œMost of my friends are onto their second kid.ā€

She added that she was ā€œjust nowā€ getting to begin that chapter in her life ā€œbecause I just hadn’t found that person yet.ā€

Her prerequisites for a serious relationship that could lead to marriage included someone she ā€œnot only had a lot of chemistry with, but also felt like would be somebody that would make an amazing husband.ā€

Yung said her future partner would also need to ā€œbe an amazing father,ā€ as well as somebody she ā€œwanted to build a life with.ā€

She was a few months shy of her 30th birthday when she met Ryan on the dating app after spending ā€œseveral yearsā€ being ā€œon and offā€ the platform.

While blending her under-eye area, Yung admitted that she and her now-fiancĆ© didn’t have that initial spark where they ā€œjust knewā€ they were right for each other during their first date.

In fact, it wasn’t until she looked him up on social media after and found a video of him speaking during an interview that she decided to go on a second date with him. This time, it took her about 10 minutes to realize they had something special.

ā€œWe had a ton in common, and I obviously thought he was so cute,ā€ Yung said. ā€œAnd we just really hit it off.ā€

The couple shared their first kiss in her driveway after the second date, and within a couple of years, they were engaged.

ā€œI didn’t even know what was happening,ā€ she said of the proposal.

Yung clarified that Ryan did tell her he’d purchased the ring because he called her a couple of months ago claiming he ā€œcannot keep it a secret.ā€ However, she let her viewers know that when the time came, the proposal still caught her by surprise.

It was after she made a recent dinner reservation that he called her sister for help, figuring it was the perfect time to pop the question.

ā€œI had no idea anything was up while we were at dinner,ā€ she said, adding that on their drive home, he ā€œrandomly pulled overā€ to show her a new landing near a creek. The moment made her a bit confused, but she said she soon understood what was going on.

Yung’s youngest sister hid behind trees several feet away from the couple to get a video of the special moment, which was also shared to TikTok.

ā€œIt was the most perfect proposal for the two of us,ā€ she said of their ā€œsimpleā€ moment together.

Yung promised her followers she would share great wedding content as they get ready for their big day, adding, ā€œI cannot wait to bring you guys along for the ride with me.ā€
