I've been eyeing a pair of metallic ballet flats for a while now—but as someone who routinely wears muted footwear, I've been hesitant about trying something new. Recently, The Way Home actress, Andie MacDowell, convinced me to take the plunge.

Andie recently attended the Cannes Film Festival in May and arrived in a minimalist, yet preppy ensemble consisting of a baby blue shirt-dress with a crisp collar and sharp pleats. She completed the comfy-chic look with her hair elegantly tied back, gold hoops, and the star of the show, her metallic shoes.

While there doesn't seem to be public info about the exact pair Andie is wearing, I did some investigating and think she's actually in driving shoes: Arthur Knight's Ladies Italian Driving Shoes to be exact. After all, her shoes look super flat to the ground, and they don't appear to have a raised heel block or thick sole like loafers or boat shoes have.

Either way, with the understated silhouette and brilliant metallic finish, Andie's shoe choice almost feels like a genius cross between quiet luxury and statement (very It-Girl)!

Unfortunately, it looks like the $100 Arthur Knight shoes are in pretty low stock (only size 5 is left). If you want more options, I found some alternatives on Amazon that you could get pretty quickly—and a few are much easier on your wallet.
