Alix Earle has responded to Cheryl Burke’s critique of her moves on Dancing with the Stars.

During the Oct. 28 Halloween episode of ABC’s hit competition show, Burke, who was a guest judge, awarded Earle a 9 for her tango alongside pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy to Billie Eilish's "bury a friend" — sparking an online back-and-forth between Burke and the influencer's stepmom Ashley Dupré.

Dupré, who was watching with Earle's younger siblings at home, posted a video to TikTok reacting to the moment, telling Burke, “Oh, go take more Ozempic!"

In an Oct. 30 TikTok of her own, Burke seemingly clapped back, saying, “My goal was just to be able to give any helpful notes if needed, because that's all I can really do.”

“It's about progression. It's not about perfection, and it's definitely about each couple's personal journey," Burke said of the show. "How can anyone grow or improve if they feel they don't get enough constructive criticism?"

In the comments of the video, Earle has now weighed in, writing, “I really appreciated your critiques and feedback so helpful for me as someone in the competition 💕 thank you.”

In her video, Burke acknowledged that she had received “mixed reviews” to her feedback on the DWTS episode — including several that were "aggressive" or included “body shaming."

“I know that I did the best that I could with the information that I had — and with what I saw in real time — and for the people who think body shaming is okay, especially in front of your children, that sends a powerful message about what you value, and clearly it's not kindness,” Burke said in an apparent reference to Dupré’s TikTok.

“I was simply again doing my job as a judge, giving feedback based on almost 20 years of my life, and if my score was different from the other judges, it was by 1 point. I have dedicated my whole life to being a competitor of ballroom dancing, and, you know, you don't have to agree with my critique, but you do have to recognize the influence your words have on the next generation watching you,” she continued. “If that's the example you choose to set, then please, I beg of you, leave my name out of it.”

Dupré has since apologized for her comments about Burke, admitting in a video uploaded to TikTok that she let her "stepmotherly instincts" get the better of her.

"I just wanted to jump on here and apologize for making comments that were insensitive in the heat of the competition," she said. "I always try to pick others up. If you follow me, you know that about me, I hope, and that's how we raise our children. I'm sorry that my actions did not reflect that.”

Burke has previously spoken out about claims that she’s taken a GLP-1 for weight loss, telling PEOPLE earlier this year, “These are all assumptions that people have thrown at me, as far as Ozempic, my face ... I've always had criticism, but what's shocking is that this is worse than when I gained weight. These are really mean and cruel messages.”
