Prime Video announced Tuesday that season 4 of Reacher will premiere on Aug. 12.

The news comes more than a month after the series was renewed for season 5.

The new installment will premiere with its first three episodes, followed by weekly releases culminating with the debut of its spinoff series, Neagley, on Sept. 16.

The highly anticipated fourth season of Prime Video's Reacher is coming sooner than you think. On Tuesday, the streamer revealed the August premiere date of its Alan Ritchson-led drama, as well as the upcoming spinoff led by Maria Sten and centered on fan-favorite character Frances Neagley.

Season 4 of Reacher will premiere on Aug. 12, gifting fans with its first three episodes, followed by weekly episode releases. The season finale will air on Sept. 16, coinciding with the debut of all eight episodes of Neagley.

The upcoming season will be based on Lee Child's 13th book from the Jack Reacher series, Gone Tomorrow.

Gone Tomorrow kicks off when Reacher witnesses a suicide on the subway in New York. He soon discovers the woman who killed herself was Pentagon staffer Susan Mark, who was caught up in a larger conspiracy involving a corrupt politician, Al Qaeda terrorists, and countless murders. Reacher must work against the clock with Susan's brother Jacob to solve the mystery of why Susan killed herself, find her missing son Peter, and ultimately save his own life when he gets caught up with dark forces with almost unlimited power.

Ritchson, who will reprise his role as the titular character for season 4, will be joined by Barry alum Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, GLOW star Sydelle Noel, My Life With the Walter Boys star Marc Blucas, Alias alum Kevin Weisman, Indonesian singers Agnez Mo and Anggun, The Expanse alumKathleen Robertson, and Poker Face'sKevin Corrigan.

As of now, Ritchson is the only returning cast member confirmed to appear in season 4, which is once again executive-produced by Nick Santora, who also serves as showrunner.

The premiere date reveal comes more than a month after Prime Video renewed the series for season 5.

"From Lee Child's globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, Reacher has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise," Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement at the time. "The series' ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world."

He continued, "We're excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of Season Four's debut and to build on this incredible momentum. We're grateful to our outstanding creative partners, cast, and crew — Nick, Alan, Lee, and Paramount Television Group — for continuing to bring this world to life in such a bold and compelling way."

Reacher remains one of Prime Video's most popular franchises, which makes it no surprise that the streamer decided to expand the universe with the upcoming spinoff series Neagley.

Entertainment Weeklyexclusively shared the first look at the upcoming series, which will follow Neagley (Maria Sten) as she becomes hell-bent on justice after learning that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident. Using everything she's learned from Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.

Starring alongside Sten are Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones as Keno, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow, and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole.

Ritchson is also set to guest-star on the spinoff.

No one is more ready for fans to see how different Neagley is from its predecessor than its leading lady. "I'm so excited about the world getting to know Neagley a little bit better," Sten told EW. "I'm very grateful for the opportunity to just dive deeper into this character, you know? I've lived with her for quite a while now and I'm so thrilled to just get to sort of scratch the surface a little bit further compared to what we've seen so far."

Sten admitted she hadn't anticipated the success of Reacher or the response to her portrayal of Neagley when she signed up for the role, but she's grateful for where it's taken her. Even with the additional pressure that comes with being bumped up on the call sheet.

"It's very exciting to be given this opportunity, but of course there's also a lot of pressure," she shared. "I put a lot of pressure on myself to do well and to carry on the legacy in a way that, you know, pays homage to Reacher and, of course, the books and the characters that Lee Child created."

Neagley premieres exclusively on Prime Video on Sept. 16, a month after Reacher season 4 premieres on Aug. 12.
