Not everything at Kohlâs is a good buy. Sometimes the price is too high, and other times, poor reviews or lower quality might make a more expensive item elsewhere a better option.

For seniors stocking up this spring, here are some Kohlâs items to avoid, and where to get them instead.
Walk-In Greenhouse
The Home Complete Walk-In Greenhouse is on sale for $151.71 with the coupon code at checkout, down from $209.99. However, this item hasnât received great reviews, and you can find it cheaper elsewhere. It also looks like Loweâs sells a very similar product, but at a much lower price.
Instead, try the Ohuhu Greenhouse from Amazon. Itâs similar in size, but itâs only around $85 and has received thousands of reviews from happy customers.

Outdoor Hammock
Spring is a good time to break out the hammock, but most shoppers donât recommend the Algoma 13-foot double rope hammock from Kohlâs. While itâs on sale for $63.74, reviewers did not like the ropeâs quality, and it doesnât come with a stand like it shows in the photos.
Thereâs a better alternative on Amazon. Itâs more expensive, but the 12-foot hammock comes with a stand and received better reviews from shoppers.
Patio Furniture Set
Most outdoor furniture sets arenât cheap, so if youâre going to invest in one, itâs best to find one you love!

This four-piece set from Kohlâs, which comes with a loveseat, two chairs and a coffee table, is on sale for around $238, originally $280, but reviews pointed out that itâs small, difficult to assemble, and the wicker is of lower quality.
A better option is this Winston Porter patio set from Wayfair. Reviews noted that assembly was simple, and itâs on sale for a lower price than what you can find at Kohlâs.
Two-Piece Luggage Set
If you need affordable luggage for spring travel, the US Traveler RIO two-piece set is under $50 at Kohlâs. But shoppers gave it mixed reviews due to its quality and size, noting that it looked like a childâs suitcase.
Another similar yet affordable option is this ModernLuxe set from Target, which is $67 on sale, originally $150. It comes with a 20-inch rolling suitcase, a travel bag and a toiletry bag.
Cotton Bath Towel Set
Spring is the perfect time to get new bathroom towels. This Spring Bloom wavy luxury spa collection cotton bath towel set looks soft and luxurious, but a number of shoppers had issues with the towels falling apart and shedding.
A good alternative, and very popular, bath towel set is the Superior Egyptian Cotton Six-Piece Towel Set from Bed Bath & Beyond. Originally almost $165, theyâre on sale for about $69. Several customers commented that theyâre soft, absorbent and the best towels theyâve ever owned.
